    Purple Maize (Zea mays), originated approximately 2,500 years ago in Mesoamerica and is celebrated by many South American cultures today, especially in Peru. It gets its deep purple/blue pigment from the high concentrations of anthocyanins, antioxidant flavonoids gaining a lot of attention in scientific circles. Grown at elevations over 10,000 feet, purple maize is considered a superfood, making its way into many foods and beverages within the Peruvian culture.†

    Pomegranate (Punica granatum) is a wildly-popular superfood with a long history tracing back to biblical times. Considered among the healthiest fruits on the planet, pomegranate is a symbol of hope, prosperity & abundance. Pomegranate is rich in Vitamin C, pantothenic acid, potassium, flavonoids, and potent natural antioxidant phenols such as ellagitannins, and a beneficial compound found only in pomegranates, punicalagin.†
