    Green Coffee
    (Coffee arabica)

Green Coffee (Coffee arabica) is indigenous to Ethiopia and mountain regions of Yemen. Well documented by the 12th century, Arab scholars wrote of the coffee beans usefulness in prolonging their wakeful hours, while East Africa and Ethiopia traditionally prepared the beans for sacred ceremonies. When unroasted, higher amounts of chlorogenic acid remain, which help the body as an antioxidant attacking free radicals as well as support healthy metabolism levels.†

    Cacao
    (Theobroma cacao)

Cacao (Theobroma cacao) is native to Central and South America and is one of the most widely consumed botanicals on the planet. In 1550 the idea of adding sugar and vanilla, led to what we now regard as chocolate. Revered by the Aztecs, cacao was a key ingredient in a ceremonial drink called tchacahoua. Cacao, valued for it’s nourishing oils and antioxidant properties, is high in Vitamin E and B complex vitamins as well as chromium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, amino acids, and flavonoids.†

    Kelp
    (Saccharina japonica)

Kelp (Saccharina japonica) is a sea vegetable native to Japan, which grows in “underwater forests” in shallow oceans. Kelp has been used in traditional Chinese herbalism and western folk traditions. The beneficial properties of Kelp have been attributed particularly to content of trace minerals, especially iodine. Kelp also contains a wide array of nutritive compounds including lignans, iron, calcium, magnesium, folate, and the amino acid, tryptophan.†

    Aloe Vera
    (Aloe vera)

Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) is native to East & South Africa dating back to 2200 B.C. Having long been considered a “treasure”, legend has it that desire for aloe plants led Alexander the Great to conquer the island Socotra for its cultivation. Aloe has been rumored to be among the secret components of Cleopatra’s beauty regimen. Aloe Vera may be one of the most common botanicals found in natural health protocols. The gel/juice of the aloe plant contains polysaccharides which promote a healthy immune response.†
