    Turmeric
    (Curcuma longa)

Turmeric (Curcuma longa) has been used in India for over 6,000 years as a digestive and beauty aid, culinary spice, dye, and a component of religious ceremonies. In Ayurveda, Turmeric represents life, purity and prosperity. Turmeric contains magnesium, silicon, iron, manganese, niacin, potassium, selenium, sodium, Vitamin C & E, and several carotenoids; Turmeric also increases levels of the enzyme glutathione S-transferase (GST) in the body, which is essential to supporting healthy detoxification.†

    Green Tea
    (Camellia sinensis)

Green Tea (Camellia sinensis). Many centuries ago, the camellia plant was discovered and sourced from Japan and China and given the common name tea. Constituent polyphenolic antioxidants such as catechins and proanthocyanidins have earned green tea its reputation for promoting wellness. Green tea boasts the highest known amount of the antioxidant, epigallocatechin gallate or EGCG, which research shows is significantly more powerful than vitamin C as an antioxidant.†

    Astragalus
    (Astragalus spp.)

For over 5,000 years Astragalus (Astragalus spp.), native to Mongolia and China, is one of oldest plants used traditionally in Chinese herbalism. Astragalus is typically grown under high atmospheric pressure at extreme altitudes and conditions. This adaptogenic herb is generally used to enhance and balance bodily functions and contains a wide array of constituents including more than 40 saponins, several flavonoids and multiple trace minerals.†

    Aloe Vera
    (Aloe vera)

Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) is native to East & South Africa dating back to 2200 B.C. Having long been considered a “treasure”, legend has it that desire for aloe plants led Alexander the Great to conquer the island Socotra for its cultivation. Aloe has been rumored to be among the secret components of Cleopatra’s beauty regimen. Aloe Vera may be one of the most common botanicals found in natural health protocols. The gel/juice of the aloe plant contains polysaccharides which promote a healthy immune response.†
